What’s the bag made of?
The carrying or storage bag is made of felt. Please note for some sizes there is no carrying bag. See comparison above!

Does the wool mat smell?
Its normal to have wool like smell. So the answer is YES, because it is 100% natural wool. The smell IF ANY will eventually phase out. You can continually expose it to natural air to eliminate the smell. From our test it will eventiually fade off, in couple of days. Please see our included pamphlets.

How thick is the wool mat?
The wool pressing mat is approximately 0.5 inches thick.

Can I use cotton iron setting?
We dont recommend you use very hot iron/cotton settings for this wool mat. Since the maximum iron setting varries per type of iron, we recommend you start with medium heat, and see whatever works best. For this ironing mat medium heat seems to work well and the use of maximum heat is not generally required.

Is it 100% Wool?
Yes! it is 100% New Zealand natural wool.

My wool mat doesnt smell-100%?
Then you are lucky because you reccieve the wool mat we have extensively stored and exxposed to outdoor dried fresh air. Please note this does not mean its not 100% wool.

Why the silicon mat?
Wool pressing mat can absorb heat, hence helping you iron both side (depends on the material). This is one advantage of using a wool mat. Hence the silicon mat can protect water or steam sensitive working surface from moisture or heat. Please pay attention, as one side of silicon mat is stick while the other is non stick.
