Space the Volcano Tiles apart, add a game modifier or two, and watch them leap and bound across the game area.

With the Trivia Cards, Lava Monster can be a great resource for teaching a geology or earth science unit. Educators can even write their own Trivia Cards drawn directly from their lessons as a study aid for their students.

Volcano Tiles – 25 Double Sided Tiles

The game contains 25 double-sided, flexible foam Volcano Tiles. One side depicts Dormant Volcanoes, while the other has Erupting Volcanoes. When a Lava Monster steps on a Dormant Volcano, they flip the tile over to reveal an Erupting Volcano.

Action Cards – 60 Cards

The game contains 60 Action Cards. All players use Action Cards on their turn to move, protect themselves, or sabotage other players. Action Cards often contain humorous commands, such as “Bow to the nearest player, then move 2 spaces” or “Shout Behold!” then move 1 space.

Trivia Cards – 30 Cards

The game contains 30 Trivia Cards. Trivia Cards contain lava and volcano facts with multiple choice answers. If the responder answers incorrectly, they face a penalty. If the responder answers correctly, the reader takes the penalty instead.

2 Game Modes – The Game Consists Of 25 Double-sided Volcano Tiles, 60 Action Cards, and 30 Trivia Cards. The standard rules exclude Trivia Cards and are great for younger players. Once players are familiar with the game, add the Trivia Cards to heat things up with volcano and lava facts! Just don’t get them wrong, or you’ll become easy prey for Lava Monsters!
Adjustable Difficulty – Difficulty varies based on how far apart the Volcano Tiles are from each other. Place them close together on the floor for kiddos who are still practicing balance, agility, and coordination, or spread them far apart for more athletic (or ambitious) players.
Educational & Physical – Kids burn energy as they jump and leap across the game area, developing their agility, balance, and coordination. With the Trivia Card rules, players learn fascinating volcano and lava facts, making it a great resource for parents, teachers, and schools.
